CHEVIOT AREA SCHOOL UNIFORM REQUIREMENT AND DRESS CODE – 2012

Hats	Blue Aussie style, wide brim hat with school logo				Black baseball caps with Cheviot Area School Logo are encouraged. No other hats to be worn
Sports	From year 3 up, plain black cotton drill or plain black CCC shorts with black and white PE shirt. Black and white tazlon tracksuit (issued by the school)
Jewellery	2 plain studs or small sleeper earrings, a watch or a necklace are the only jewellery permissible. (Some classes may require the removal of these items for safety reasons) Other facial piercings are not permitted for safety reasons.
Hair	Hair must be a natural colour. Hair longer than shoulder length must be tied back and kept tidy. Hair must be kept clean, tidy and appropriate for school.
Other	Makeup is not permitted. A clean shaven appearance is required at school at all times. Any clothing layers worn beneath the school uniform must not be visible
Students have a grace period until the end of 2013 to comply with the logoed polar fleece requirements, and the hats in Years 1-6. Until this point, unlogoed polar fleeces will be tolerated, as will Year 1-6 students wearing the Cheviot Area School logoed caps. All other aspects of the uniform code are expected to be followed correctly from the present date.
